Breast Screening Unit

Manchester Breast Screening Unit
The Breast Screening Unit will be at ASDA Newton Heath (car park), off Old Church Street, Newton Heath, between 25th July 2013 and 11th January 2014.
Women between 47-73 will be invited for screening from the Miles Platting & Newton Heath, Ancoats and Clayton, City Centre and Bradford areas.

Love Yourself!

Love Yourself Course - for people living with a long term physical health condition, to be held at North Manchester Wellbeing Centre, 93 Church Lane, Harpurhey.

The FREE 10 week course will look at complimentary therapies and how they can work for the individual, aiming to improve confidence and self-esteem.

Course start dates are either Tuesday 4 March, 1pm - 3pm or Wednesday 6 March, 1pm - 3pm.

Harpurhey Health Network Meeting

The first Harpurhey Health Network Meeting will be on Thursday 7th February 2013, 10-12 noon.
North City Library, Rochdale Road, M9 4AF.

The Network Meetings are an opportunity for partners in Harpurhey to come together and discuss their work around health and wellbeing; identify ways of working together and sharing resources.
The February meeting with focus on mental health and wellbeing.

The impact of isolation on lesbian, gay and bisexual people’ including Diane Abbott MP, Shadow Minister for Public Health. We will also have a range of discussion workshops exploring topics including:

· How isolation affects mental health
· Improving accessibility for LGB people in need of support
· Older LGB people and isolation
