Free Gardening Course at The Mustard Tree
Learn about the basics of gardening, learn and understand how plants grow, learn the skills of how to design a garden and become confident to become a good skilled gardener.
This course will get you growing your own vegetables, fruit, and flowers in pots, containers and borders. You will be able have the skills to look after any plot of land or garden and identify different types of plants.
The course starts on Monday 30th April at 10.30am til 12 noon at the Mustard Tree, 110 Oldham Road, Ancoats, Manchester, M4 6AG.

Free Bat Walk in Miles Platting
Waterways Trust and Adactus are running a FREE Bat Walk on Thursday 3rd May from 8.30 - 10.30pm. Join their resident bat expert on this evening walk and learn more about the wonderful world of bats.

Social Cafe - Church of the Apostles, Miles Platting
The Social Cafe is back after the half term break. Every Friday (in term time)the Church opens it's doors to local older people and serves tea, coffee, toast and crumpets for a small price. At the same time Zest provides varying health activities. The group regularly take part in craft sessions, tai chi, exercise, curling and pampering. Healthy Eating Cookery Course for Parents and Children in Harpurhey!
Want to learn how to cook healthier? Try new meal ideas? Learn how to cook on a budget? Come along to the Healthy Eating and Cookery Course at Harpurhey Children's Centre on Mondays 10.30 - 12.30pm. This starts on the 16th April for six weeks to

Music in Mind: Music Therapy for People with Dementia and their Carers
Manchester Camerata is offering you 10 sessions in a music therapy group, free of charge. Manchester Camerata is an orchestra and two of the orchestra’s musicians will be helping with the group.
This will be a chance to make music, but you don’t have to think of yourself as a musician to take part! It will also give you the opportunity to meet other people.
The sessions will last no more than one hour and may involve singing and playing simple instruments. What we do will depend on what you want to do on the day.

Central Manchester: Wednesday 07 March until Wednesday 30 May (not on 28 Mar, 11 Apr, 23 May)
North Manchester: Wednesday 04 April until Wednesday 27 June (not on 11 April, 23 May, 6 June)

Central Manchester: 10:30-11:30 at
Manchester Universities’ Catholic Chaplaincy, Oxford Road, M13 9PG

North Manchester: 14:30-15:30 at

Active Thursdays in Collyhurst - Craft Sessions
Active Thursdays continue in Collyhurst! Open to all older residents in Collyhurst, not just those living in Churnet Street! This week and next come along and try to bring your creative side out with Claire who will guide you through some simple crafts. Taking part and materials are free and there will be fruit and a cream tea served to all who attend!
