Cheetham Park

Working with local partners Zest is interested in supporting the improvement and development of Cheetham ( Elizabeth st ) Park. This lovely hidden green space has the potential to provide the community with a safe and healthy place to get fit, socialise , give back to the community, play, learn and improve family and community life. We held a really successful event as the Torch went past on 23 June 2012, with around 1000 people in the park and thronging the street. Ross Mcguigan, (Community and Cultural Services,Neighbourhood Services , 07760 328273 or 0161 227 3779. r.mcguigan@manchester.gov.uk) is gathering interest from people who may want to support the work with the park , going forward. Rev. David Gray (Faith Network for Manchester,E: mail@fn4m.org Web: www.fn4m.org Rev. David Gray (Secretary) T: 07927 734 419) has developed a facebook page to help people chat about the park especially their memories and what might be good for the parks future. http://www.facebook.com/groups/CheethamElizabethStreetPark/ If anyone would like to contact Zest about the planning for the park , healthy activities they would like to see or to get involved , please email Naomi , n.davies1@manchester.gov.uk or call 0161 908 2848.
