Expert Patients Programme in North Manchester

Expert Patients Programme Do you want to learn new ways in living with or caring for someone who has a long term health condition(s)? “Expert Patients Programme” could be one step forward to help you maintain your health and improve your quality of life! Here are some of the Key Benefits: A greater confidence in dealing with your health problems and to recognise and act on symptoms Reduce and manage your pain, fatigue, depression and anxiety Improvement in daily life and learn techniques like relaxation, exercise, healthy eating Build your self esteem, independence and confidence Get more out of health services and medication Improve your communication skills with family, friends and health professionals Develop an action plan to improve your well being Meet others sharing similar experiences and improve your social activity Ongoing support through our local Network Groups Opportunities for volunteering to work towards an accredited qualification The Programme is free (tea, coffee & biscuits are provided) and the course is run by trained volunteers who are living with long term conditions themselves. The Programme is run over 6 weekly sessions and are once a week for 2½ hours. Preparation for Refereeing Course

Being a qualified referee requires a person to be physically fit, reliable and be able to handle people, sometimes in stressful situations. In other words it requires a person to have a set of skills which are easily transferred into a range of jobs. Furthermore referees are much in demand and can earn regular cash at weekends. The FC United Preparation for Refereeing course is an intensive 6 week course to get people ready for the FA Basic Refereeing Course so they will pass it easily. Normally the FA course costs £150 but FC United will pay this fee for anybody who completes one of our Preparation for Refereeing Courses. FC United are starting two courses in November, one at the Factory Youth Zone and one at the Northenden Campus of Manchester College. The course runs from Monday 5th November to Friday 16th December. There is a session every day Monday to Friday from 9am to 12 noon. Each session includes some gym work and some football sessions with FC Utd coaches. First Stop Health Bus - Coming to An Area Near You!

First Stop Health - the bus is coming… The First Stop Health Bus is a mobile clinic, offering a range of free NHS health services and checks, at a time that is convenient to you, right on your doorstep. Hop on-board and speak to one of our trained health professionals today. The service is open to anyone who lives or works in Greater Manchester. The bus will visit the same location once a week for several weeks at a time. Healthy Eating Cookery Course for Parents and Children in Harpurhey!
